At 5:46:24UTC according to US Geological Survey, a magnitude 8.9
earthquake struck off the east coast of Honshu, Japan, followed by a
series of aftershocks measure greater than magnitude 6.

The disaster has had impact on some Trans-Pacific cable system as well as
some domestic fibre infrastructure in Japan. There is a high probability
that traffic traversing Trans-Pacific will be adversely impacted.

Workaround: Traffic failover to available submarine cable
